Summary: “Under general supervision, is responsible for professional wildlife management work of average difficulty in the implementation of wildlife management practices in a moderate-sized wildlife area or facility; assists in the implementation of management practices in a large, complex wildlife area or facility; and performs related work as required.
Distinguishing Features: An employee in this class performs a variety of activities associated with the management of wildlife. Work involves wildlife habitat development and maintenance, public relations activities, facilities maintenance, wildlife law enforcement within assigned geographic area(s) and assisting in research data collection. This class differs from that of Wildlife Manager 2 in that an incumbent of the latter is responsible for a larger, more complex wildlife area or management responsibilities.”
