Distinguishing Features: This is the working level class in the Conservation Worker sub-series. An employee in this class performs a wide variety of semi-skilled and skilled maintenance related work in such areas as building maintenance, grounds maintenance, and equipment operations. This class differs from that of Conservation Worker 1 in that an incumbent of the latter performs more routine work under closer supervision. This class differs from that of Conservation Worker 3 in that an incumbent of the latter acts in a lead or supervisory capacity and performs skilled grounds and building maintenance work.”
